BrightBorn Foundation
A foundation born from humble origins, building for a future we can't fully see—but intend to shape.
We weren't born into privilege. Tim and Tom Morgan came into this world in 1958, twins with nothing but curiosity and an instinct to create. We learned to splice 16mm film by hand. We taught ourselves to code. We survived every technology shift from darkrooms to data centers, from analog to AI.
Along the way, we experienced the full spectrum—the lean years, the breakthroughs, the setbacks, the quiet victories. We know what it means to struggle. We know what it means to persist. And we know that the distance between potential and achievement is often just opportunity.
BrightBorn Foundation exists because we remember. Because reaching back is as important as reaching forward. Because the world gave us chances, and we intend to return the favor.
"The future of wealth, work, and human purpose is being rewritten by forces we're only beginning to understand. We don't pretend to have all the answers. But we intend to be relevant when it matters."
AI and robotics are reshaping labor, healthcare, creativity itself. The role of philanthropy in this new world is unclear—which is precisely why we're here. Not to preserve old models of giving, but to discover what generosity means when everything else is changing.
Supporting the creators, preservers, and interpreters of human expression. Because art is how we understand ourselves.
Removing barriers between people and their possibilities. Education, access, opportunity—the bridges that matter.
Preparing humanity for technological transformation. Not resisting change, but ensuring it serves everyone.
"Our giving is not charity. It is participation—in the long arc of human progress, in the stories that haven't been written yet, in the potential that waits to be unlocked."
